TEN THINGS AN ENTREPRENEUR MUST KNOW!
1.
I
was once told that whatever you think about at night before you go to bed and
wake up thinking about in the morning is what you should be doing in life.
Don’t make it complicated people. Follow what you love and that will make you
rich in more ways than one. Don’t ever make the mistake of thinking you have
one passion or one thing that you love to do because that take the term
entrepreneur away entirely. I believe when a true entrepreneur gains wealth;
they start to show added interest to their hidden passions.
2.
You
absolutely have to put in the work. Nothing that is worth having in life will
come easy. Never look at someone else’s journey and judge your own. If someone
is making something look easy; it’s probably because they’ve been doing it a
long time. A mentor is there for a reason. No one can ever teach you everything
it is to know about anything in one conversation. Greatness is born through
hard work.
3.
Stay
consistent! Come up with a game plan and follow that pattern for that
particular goal. You don’t lack on loving you child do you! Your passion is
your baby and you need to treat it as such. Don’t ever feel like you have the
choice of waking up in the morning and saying “I DON’T FEEL LIKE IT TODAY!” Those words are simply not an
option.
4.
You
absolutely have to love what you do! When working for someone else a person is
forced to comply with everyday activities through management or fear of being
unemployed. You must understand that in order to be successful; you have to
enjoy or unconditionally love the idea of being your own boss in my opinion. It’s
already difficult to be your own boss, but when engaging in entrepreneurship; try
to pick things that are a personal passion to you. This will prevent the lack
of loyalty for success.
5.
Build
a team! Having a team is pivotal for the most part. Sometimes it could on the
type and size of the business that is being formed. Choose the people used to
run day-to-day functions wisely. Never pick anyone because they are simply
family or close friends. Doing so will cause you to fail before you even start.
Family plus friends and business don’t mix and if you do decide to go that
route; make sure they’re over qualified.
6.
Get
a mentor(s)! Do whatever you have to do in order to surround yourself with
successful people who are well accomplished in whatever particular business
field you choose. Join Facebook groups or pay for online information from
proven bbb.org approved businesses.
7.
Pay
for information! This is one of the most important tips of the ten. I just
mentioned above to pay for online information or even in person information if
possible. This want guarantee overnight success or millions of dollars next
week, but what is does is give you knowledge. Information is power and
knowledge that will help you plus save you money in the long run. Imagine that
you’re a chef that’s not willing to buy the proper supplies or equipment to run
his/her restaurant. Nothing in life can function properly without the correct
resources or tools. That’s what information is. It’s a tool for success. It’s
the hammer to the nail. Please understand the investing in you is very
important.
8.
Know
when to walk away! Most times businesses fail because it’s just not in the
cards. Just because a business fail doesn’t mean you fail. Move on and find
what works for you in another passion or expertise. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not
saying give up at all because most people don’t put in the work or effort and
give up entirely too early, but just know when something is simply not going to
work.
9.
Read
everything you can about whatever you invest in! Books can be found really
cheap online and can be as resourceful as an online seminar or even a mentor.
Spend a few dollars to become knowledgeable on the essential material.
10.
Don’t
ever think you have it all figured out! A expert that has made millions of
dollars in their field and been in business for over 30 years can still learn
something. I believe that a closed mind will never succeed and a know it all is
incapable of building a successful team.
